TRUST IN GOVERNMENT 2020 – ACCORDING TO THE PERCEPTION OF PUBLIC OPINION

Today, Av. Kastriot Frashëri, head of the law firm “Tirana Law Office – Frasheri Law Firm”, participated in the presentation of the findings of the Public Opinion Survey “Trust in Government 2020” in Albania, with the participation of governmental and international partners, researchers and experts, and open to the media, Wednesday, June 9, 2021, 10:00 a.m.
This is the eighth consecutive year that IDM has conducted the Opinion Survey on Trust in Governance in Albania (2013–2020) with the early support of UNDP and this year with the Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC) as the main contributor.
The survey was conducted between November and December 2020, using a nationally representative sample of 2,500 respondents. The findings provide insights into public beliefs, perceptions and attitudes on several issues, such as trust in public entities, institutional transparency and accountability, level of corruption, satisfaction with public services provided, citizen engagement in politics and decision-making, and the implementation of non-discriminatory laws and policies. Two new areas related to the response to the 2019 earthquake and the Covid-19 pandemic are also included in this edition.
